These last few years have seen some changes across the world – and cardboard manufacturing is no different. There have been some changes in our board grades with differences in top, middle (corrugation) and bottom layers of cardboard.
The manufacturers are doing their best to keep costs low, but unfortunately some reels of cardboard/paper are simply no longer in existence and needed to be replaced.
At Jetbox, we know you come to us for our quality, so we’re not going to skimp on it.
There is no change to C29, 1C or 1CS and above so if you’re ordering these – no need to read on!
Changes To 3CS Board Grade
3CS is one of our major board grades. Recently, we’ve been able to only to receive a fully recycled version of this board, and some of our customers have noticed some tearing apart and deterioration during shipping.
If you find that this board grade isn’t holding up during transport, it’s time to upgrade your board grade. All you need to do is contact us here to let us know, and we’ll make sure we action it for your next order.
Other board grade options are:
- 1C or C29 – the next level above 3CS, and it is quite a bit stronger
- 1CS or C35 – these are another level stronger than 1C or C29, and holds up better in refrigerated climates
- C10 – this is a really strong 4mm, recycled board
We have implemented some pricing increases across our products to keep up with increased cost from our supplies – but always still maintain the low cost, but superior quality, you know Jetbox for.
If you have any questions about your order or the changes in board grades please don’t hesitate to reach out.
