5 Benefits of Using Custom Boxes for Start-Up Businesses

December 8, 2021

When starting a business, there are lots of things to organise, learn about and prepare. One of these things is your boxes and packaging. Starting on the right foot with your small business can make all the difference, and set a high standard from day one. Customers expect their items to arrive safely, and if you give them a high quality packaging experience they’ll remember you and your business for future purchases.

Custom boxes give you the flexibility to order any size or shape you need for your items. They can also help when you’re setting up postage costs and fees, by being consistent within a certain price range. Many Australian start-up businesses rely on shipping to get their items to their customers, so choosing quality boxes that last is key.

At Jetbox, we offer Australian made custom corrugated cardboard boxes for any and all start-up businesses. With low minimum order quantities (MOQs) and an easy to use custom box calculator, there has never been a better time to start your business with boxes from Jetbox! Read on for 5 major benefits of using custom boxes for your start-up business.

Benefits of Custom Made Boxes

While there are limitless benefits to using custom cardboard boxes, we have compiled the top 5 reasons why custom boxes make a difference for start-up businesses. If you’re interested in the many other benefits of custom cardboard boxes, check out our other news resources on custom boxes and moving boxes here.

Benefit 1: Custom Made Boxes are Made For Your Items

Custom made boxes are amazing because they are as their name implies; custom. You can order boxes in a number of different cardboard types, lengths and widths. Custom boxes can also be different designs, with different uses and styles. Nothing will fit your items as perfectly as a custom box, nor keep your items as safe. For necessary peace of mind, when launching your start-up choose Australian made custom boxes through Jetbox. We guarantee quality every time, and are experts in manufacturing the perfect box, or boxes, for your business items.

Benefit 2: Custom Made Boxes Save You Money (In More Ways Than One!)

Custom made boxes may be more affordable than you think, and they can save your business money in a number of ways. Not only can you order custom boxes in a number of quantities, with larger quantities reducing the price per box dramatically, but you can also lower the cost of shipping. With custom made boxes you can ensure your boxes fit certain parameters needed for lower shipping prices, whereas randomly shaped boxes purchased online or elsewhere may fall into a higher price bracket. Custom boxes also leave less room for bubble wrap or other fillers, saving you money on those too!

Benefit 3: Custom Boxes Provide the Highest Level of Protection For Your Items

Your reputation plays a key part in the success of your business. If items arrive broken or damaged, you put a dent in your reputation, and leave you to deal with returns or refunds. Custom made boxes create a snug protective layer around your box, leaving no room for items to roll around incurring damage. Your business items are precious to you, and your customers, and there is no better way to protect them and provide the best unpacking experience you can, then with custom made boxes.

Benefit 4: Custom Made Boxes are an Environmentally Friendly Option for Your Start-Up

Gone are the days of using excess packaging products. With custom boxes, the amount of packaging materials you need are lowered, thus reducing the amount of waste. Custom boxes also provide a perfect fit every time, no more buying boxes that don’t fit to only throw them out or have them sit there unused.

Benefit 5: Custom Boxes Can Be Ordered in Small Quantities with JetBox

When launching your start-up business, it can be overwhelming or unnecessary to order everything in large amounts. At Jetbox, we offer small MOQs to help combat this. Instead of ordering over 100 boxes, and stressing about using them all, order a smaller number to start and test out which sizes you use most!

How To Pack Your TV Box

We understand that packing TV’s without the original packaging can be a stressful task.

Every Jetbox TV will be supplied with more than enough bubble wrap to wrap any size TV!

To put your TV box together, follow these instructions:

  1. Please start by taping the bottom of the box – pre-fold the flaps to make it easier to close.

  2. Use a blanket to cover your TV before applying bubble wrap.

  3. Lay it down (if the manufacturer recommendations specify that you can) and wrap it in bubble horizontally.

  4. Then wrap again vertically ensuring the corners, front and back are covered well. Tape up the bubble so that it doesn’t come undone.

  5. You can then slide the TV into the box, make sure it fits snugly and close the box with some strong tape.

Bulky Item Delivery Terms & Conditions

Some of our products are large, heavy and bulky and require extra care or special shipping. If your order requires a forklift we will advise before delivery, and if no forklift is available upon delivery a surcharge will apply.

Bulky deliveries that require hand delivery (but no forklift) to the first floor or above and require stair or lift access will also be subject to a delivery surcharge. If you advise at checkout that your delivery is above the ground floor, we will be in touch regarding the surcharge. This surcharge is from $50 per pallet.

Over & Under Runs

Manufacturing processes require machinery to work at quite high speeds. During production, some sheets may be damaged and need to be replaced. In some instances, we cannot replace the sheets at that time and you will be met with a slightly lower Quantity than ordered. This amount will be credited to you.

In most cases though, there will be overruns, as the machinery cannot come to a complete stop in an instant – we require a gradual slow down, which will give us more cartons produced, than what are ordered. These overruns are payable by the client. And taking them also helps save on recycling, which is more sustainable and better for the Environment in the long term.

If you require EXACT Quantities, we may have to make some boxes in a different grade than ordered, to make up your order in the Exact Qty required. These requests will also Incur higher unit costs. This cannot be avoided, as we must consider the recycling processes and costs involved, in helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
